In this program students practice their coding skills to create a Sumobot that utilises motors, ultrasonic sensors and colour sensors. We explore algorithms as students code sequences, selections and loops in the creation of a Sumobot that can search and push an opponent of the battle ring. Alongside this, students can engineer their base model robot for ultimate success in the ring. Â
In this program students will:
- develop problem solving skills and resilience
- use, manipulate and understand coding blocks (movement, events, sensors)
- generate algorithms to complete a task
- modify/engineer sumobots.Â
