Embark on an epic construction and coding adventure as you create a Lego EV3 Sumobot, ready to outsmart and overpower your opponent in a sumo showdown!

In this program students practice their coding skills to create a Sumobot that utilises motors, ultrasonic sensors and colour sensors. We explore algorithms as students code sequences, selections and loops in the creation of a Sumobot that can search and push an opponent of the battle ring.  Alongside this, students can engineer their base model robot for ultimate success in the ring.

In this program students will:

  • develop problem solving skills and resilience
  • use, manipulate and understand coding blocks (movement, events, sensors)
  • generate algorithms to complete a task
  • modify/engineer sumobots.
