Students will use use Micro:Bits to develop basic block coding skills and interact with the world around them using different inputs and outputs.

They will learn about and explore simple cause and effect logic, like ‘if this – then that (IFTT)’. Students will collect information and data to view and test the possibilities of the Internet of Things (IoT) and explore how IoT is used in a range of industries such as agriculture, health and manufacturing.

Students will learn about the concept of IoT through the following themes:

  • smart homes
  • agriculture and tech
  • environmental monitoring
  • smart cities
