We explore immunology, looking at the three lines of defence and what occurs in the body when these lines are breached. We compare different adaptive responses to pathogens and look at the emergence and re-emergence of pathogens and the consequences of this. We learn about new immunotherapy strategies to treat autoimmune diseases and cancer. We conclude by applying our knowledge and understanding to VCAA exam questions.
