3, 2, 1 – we have lift off!

Design and build a 2 litre water rocket and launch with an onboard microcomputer to measure and graph acceleration.

Explore the forces of gravity and acceleration in this hands on fun outreach program whilst developing your design engineering and coding skills. Students use the radio function of micro:bits to record real-time date and represent acceleration graphically on the MakeCode simulator.

Please note:

This program is offered only as a 2 hour outreach for 26 students per session. Access to clear open space is required – the school oval is ideal.
