Maths With Dash

Year 3 – 4

Step 1 of 4

Mathematical thinking through coding

Students are introduced to Jo Boaler’s (youcubed) strategy ‘math-ish’ as they create and apply visual coding to generate mathematical solutions.

  • Explore block coding to create a range of algorithms for Dash robots.
  • Apply the strategy of math-ish to estimate distances and angles.
  • Create and calculate mathematical equations to mystery numbers.

If you would like to know more about Jo Boaler’s ‘math-ish’ see mathish.org.

Incursion programs are only available to schools classed as rural or metro disadvantaged by the Department of Education.
