Masterclass Details

This workshop will explain how to demonstrate an understanding of what makes arguments persuasive in their chosen issues. Students will consider how to research, gather effective evidence and synthesise information to produce a well-considered and reasoned argument. Time will be spent focussing on effective written statements of intention that accompany the oral presentation task.

Presenter bio

Liam Frost-Camilleri

Liam Frost-Camilleri has worked in private, public, TAFE and tertiary institutions during his career. He has taught VCE English at many of these institutions and has also been the English discipline leader at some. Liam currently works at Federation University in the FAST enabling program and Master of Teaching (Secondary) program in which he educates pre-service teachers. Liam is passionate about the learning process and is currently undertaking his PhD focussing on what students ‘need’ in order to learn.
