Plate Tectonics

Year 9 – 10

Step 1 of 4

Students investigate the role plate movement has on the formation of natural disasters such as earthquakes.

They complete a series of scientific and engineering challenges to apply knowledge of plate tectonics to real world scenarios.

In this program students will:

  • Explore geological changes in the formation of the Earth.
  • Use VR to observe different forms of plate interactions.
  • Retrofit buildings to withstand earthquakes.
  • Collect and analyse data to predict earthquakes.

Acciona generously support this program through their donation of ClassVR resources.
