Students explore plate tectonic theory and how it relates to natural disasters such as earthquakes, volcanos and tsunamis. Science inquiry and 21st century skills are developed through design engineering challenges.Â
In this program students will:
- explore the evidence of plate tectonic movement
- use virtual reality to observe different types of plate movement
- investigate building resonance and the impact of earthquakes
- engage in the engineering design process to create a prototype rescue vehicle.
