Earth’s changing landscape

The landscape of Earth has been formed over millions of years and is under constant change. Some of those changes occur so slowly that you might not even know it is even happening!

This is a hands-on exploration into the driving forces of erosion and the impact it has on our landscape. Students investigate the power of weathering and erosion through scientific investigation and a STEM challenge. The journey comes to life as they walk through Woowookarung Regional Park discovering and recording tangible evidence of erosion in the natural world.

In this program students will:

  • observe erosion in action in Woowookarung Regional Park and through an immersive coastal VR experience
  • investigate the impacts of weathering through scientific investigation
  • problem solve in an erosion STEM challenge
  • explore the impact of human activities on the environment.
