Man Made Wonders of the World

Explore key Australian and world man-made landmarks to identify key features. Students will be challenged to ‘design and build their own man-made wonder’ using materials found around the house or online platforms such as Minecraft or Lego Digital Designer.

Pre-lesson activities will introduce students to reflective symmetry and open their eyes to the world around them. Students will explore reflective symmetry further in man-made wonders and everyday objects. They will develop 21st-century critical thinking skills through the engineering design process. Working through this design process, students are challenged to create a man-made wonder that represents Australia.
