Water can be found all around us, it is used in a variety of ways and is a key ingredient to sustaining all life on our planet.
Students are invited to join in the fun, by helping to act out the Australian Indigenous Dreamtime story, Tiddalik the Frog. Students learn about water as one of Earth’s most precious resources and are encouraged to identify, where it comes from, where it’s found, its importance to all life, its variety of uses, and what would happen if we had none.
By the end of the lesson, students are introduced to the design engineering process and challenged to plan and make a ‘water catcher’.
