As earthquake explorers, students will investigate why and where earthquakes occur, be challenged to engineer earthquake-proof buildings, and examine the treacherous island ‘Terra Felix’ for liveability.
In this program students will:
- investigate the relationship between earthquakes, volcanic formation and tsunamis
- investigate different fault types through virtual reality
- work as earthquake engineers to gather and analyse data and communicate their findings
- work as engineers in a retrofit challenge to survive a quake.
